The Wang lab (https://yifan-wang.lab.medicine.umich.edu/) in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Michigan Medical School is actively seeking postdoctoral scholars to work on projects investigating Toxoplasma-host interactions. The projects include: 1) elucidating the mechanism involved in inflammasome-mediated Toxoplasma recognition and restriction; 2) identifying and characterizing novel host restriction factors against Toxoplasma infection; 3) investigating Toxoplasma secreted effectors-mediated host immune modulation. 

Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D., or equivalent degree. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are nearing completion of their Ph.D. or have completed it within the past one or two years. We are looking for team players with a background in microbiology, immunology, genetics, or a related field, who also have a keen interest in studying innate immunity and host-pathogen interactions. Prior experience working with Toxoplasma is not necessary, but prior experience in innate immunity, functional genomics, molecular biology, and biochemistry is a plus.
