Considering the current scenario of the Coronavirus pandemic and having as a priority the well-being and safety of our community (staff, researchers, students, and other professionals in the field) the Brazilian Society of Protozoology (SBPz) will carry out a series of ONLINE activities to promote the research and the scientific debate in protozoology.
The traditional Annual Meeting of the Brazilian Society of Protozoology (“Caxambu Meeting”) will be an all-virtual event and will be held on August 30th to September 1st (Information about Scientific Program: https://sbpz.org.br/en/scientific-program/). The virtual scientific sessions will keep the same groundbreaking science that you had experienced at the in-person Annual Meeting, starting with the Samuel Pessoa Award Conference, some keynote speakers and recorded posters presentation. All sessions will be followed by a live Q&A session with the speakers.
Also, SBPz designated 2 days to a Live virtual Satellite meeting (28-29, August) organized by Early Career Researchers to discuss how to advance careers in sciences.
In addition, throughout the year 2021, SBPz will offer roundtables with groundbreaking lectures from leading researchers in specific topics as follows:
April – Protozoan Immunology
May – Phylogenetic inference and taxonomy of eukaryotes
June – New in vitro cell culture technologies to study protozoa
